Description of 1977 Ford F-150

You are bidding an imported 1977 Ford Transit truck.
I bought this truck several years ago from what I believe was the original owners estate. I was told that this is 1 of 9 imported into the states and possible the only one left in the U.S. The owner used it for a roofing business for less than a year until he broke the clutch cable, hence the 17k miles. He could not find a cable at the time so he parked it. I have a owned it almost ten years and have not done much with it so its time it finds a new owner. Below is everything I know about it.
The Good...
Texas title. What is pictured is all the paperwork I have.
17k Miles.

4cyl naturally aspirated diesel. We had it running around a year ago. No smoke, blow by, it ran very good! We changed the oil and filters on it before running it.

There is your normal surface rust from missing paint but no rot like most English vehicles.
Factory dually.

99% complete. Nobody ever robbed parts off this truck. Only thing I see missing are the fender mirrors which were removed when it was new and one clearance light lens.

All of the glass is 100% intact and has no cracks or missing pieces.

No rodent or animal intrusion.

Still rolls freely. No stuck brakes.

The frame appears to be factory length.
Bed was custom made stateside. It is straight and not torn up.

The body is very straight. No dings or hail damage like most stuff from this area.

Parts are still available. It will all come from Europe but you can get them.
I will have the truck in my driveway, easily accessible, when you come get it.

I will help you load it or possible delivery for a fee(within a couple hundred miles or the surrounding metroplexs). I am willing to work with you or your shipper.

The Bad...
Please inspect all pictures closely.

Interior has suffered damage from decades of the desert heat and sun.
Paint has suffered the same as the interior.
The grille has a crease where a trailer tapped it. Can be repaired or replaced.
Clutch cable is broken. We have one that came with the truck. One of the family members said he bought it at a dealer in the 90's on a family trip to the UK. Not sure if it fits. You also get a cooling fan he bought on the same trip.

Fan blade needs to be put back on. You get a NOS Ford fan with the truck.

Rear tires are rotted. Front tires are 3 years old off one of our trailers. I will give you a set of 4 new vintage mud/snow tires from the 70's if you want them for the rear.

Brakes need to be gone through.
Probably anything that goes bad after sitting 44 years.
