Description of 1954 Ford F100 |
1954 Ford F-100 with a clean Oregon title in my name. This truck runs and I have driven it around the block and at my grandfathers. Not quite road worthy yet but would not take much to get it 100% safe. Pickup was bought by my grandfather in the mid 90's and I acquired it from him after that. From at least 1990 to 2018 this truck sat in Tumalo, Oregon which is high desert. This has lead to minimal rust overall. The 3 of the cab corners have some level of rust but I do have the rear patch panels already. There is also a bit of rust that you can see in the photos across the front of the hood that can easily be fixed. Overall the truck is in good shape, but my kids are not into cars so we are going to move onto other projects. The engine is a 223ci that runs great. I just installed a new starter, battery, ignition coil, starter solenoid, and ignition button. The button was rewired but still does not work correctly so you have to use the button under the solenoid to fire it up. It will typically take minimal choke to start. I also disconnected the fuel line from the fuel tank and ran it into a jerry can with non ethanol fuel since I did not know how dirty the tank was. You can see a full walkaround and video of it starting and running at: https://youtu.be/TEdvV0sC98U Other than what is on it, i do have a spare set of rear fenders, one with the spare cutout, and lots of other parts that were removed such as door handles, window roll up assemblies, and a spare set of tail lights. Things that I do not have include: rear bumper, window glass that isn't damaged, wood for the bed, knob for the windshield wipers, interior panel on passenger door, lenses below headlight, and battery box. There may be more but that is what comes to mind. Overall the motor runs good and the transmission shifts smooth. It has sat for over 30 years other than a couple of tiny drives so I would not try and drive it across the country tomorrow. This will make a good restoration project. Truck is located in Eugene, Oregon and has been stored in my garage since bringing it to the valley. It has not been stored outside in the rain and most rust is surface rust. Can meet the buyer within 600ish miles of Eugene, Oregon at buyers expense for fuel and room for the night. |
