Description of 1965 Ford Mustang

Up for sale is my early 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. (commonly known as a 1964 1/2 becuase of its early production number.) Look past the outward appearance and closely at how great a convertible this is. Power convertible top. All the metal work and welding was completed years ago by a professional restorer in Detroit. Since then I had a period correct 289 V-8 put in in-place of the original 260 V-8.The 289 was completely redone from top to bottom. The C-4 transmission has also been completly rebuilt.Cowl seems to be nice, but I have not checked that out yet .
I have the clean title in hand and it is in my name.
All the body panels are straight, the doors and fenders are original and wonderful. the rear quarters have been replaced. The Right quarter is NOS the Left may or may not be NOS yet nicely done. I do not know if the other metal is original or replace, but in either case the body is very strong and ready to go. The trunk area and drops are great, All the frame rails, the rockers, the floors, and torque boxes are wonderful. the deck lid and hood are great. All new brakes, steering is now tight.

I have 95-98% of all the parts that the car needs. The parts are either new or very nice OEM parts. I believe the original color was a turquois with tan interior, there is no door tag. The VIN is stamped in 3 different places on the original aprons. I have and original bench seat, but I was going to change to buckets so I have one passenger bucket seat if you want it. I have very nice correct convertible glass and trim . I also have a new front windshield, that is not yet install which I would have done after painting. same with the instument panel that dash wiring. I like to put things back together after the paint.
I put the car into storage 2 years ago after the engine, brakes, and trans were done. It started and drove around the shop very nicely. the ignition still need to be worked on because it would not start with a key. I have a new ignition in a bag. it is either that or something with the wiring. We started to work to it before storingit, but have not gotten around to is, so the new owner will need to push or pull it on the the trailer.
I bought is years ago and fully intended to finish it for my dream car, but now it is time to someone else to finish. Would make a great father son type project, and a great car to add to a collection. There is still much to be done to make this the perfect car, This is not just just a couple of weekend and your done, or else I would have completed it long ago,
Here is a canid list of what needs to be done:
Redo seats and top, work on front left fender and door a bit moreblock and sand and prime. repeat.. then paintinstall the glassfix ignition /wiringredo or replace wheels, get tiresThere are lots to do yet, but this is a wonderful project. You can save money by finishing this project yourself. Rare early convertibles like this bring 30,000-45,000 depending on how you finish it.
There is so many nice things that I probally forgot, so please ask me any questions you need to place a bid. I can take more picturess if needed. The final bid is what I will expect to be paid, no less, so be serious. You are welcome to see the car before the end of the action. I need to be paid within 7 days of the end. transpertation needs to be set up and paid for by the buyer. I will help loading it as much as I can. I will have everything loaded into the car except the 260 extra engine if you needed that. Thanks for looking and bidding

As requested by a couple people, The cowl looks and feels very solid. I inspeacted it very closely now, I do not know for sur, but I would say it was redone wonderfully or it didn't sit outside much. I poured water down the hood vent and the water flowed right out tob the outside of the car just like it should. dry inside the car. So that is yet another very positive thing about the car. Again, This Rock solid straightforward project.Dont miss out
