1966 Ford Mustang convertible needing restoration finished. auto trans v8 289 power steering . Car starts easil, runs with good power, will spin the tires, yard drives has some brakes but not yet road worthy . The convertible is a unfinished restoration from 20 + years ago . PO did some rust repair body and paint work, rebuilt the motor. The interior, carpet which has stains, gauges, mechanica, hoses, body seals, door and trunk locks some lights ect where never restored .Looks like full ford 1/4swere used, the floors and inner rockers have some nonfactory patches. None of the frames need replacing. The cowl is solid, not rusted out and could be sealed from inside if needed. There are pictures or the cowl and floors before the interior was in. the convertible top frame was cleaned and painted it goes up and down by hand good. Motor was reported rebuil, its clean under the valve covers, saw 65 date 289 heads, push rods and springs look new and oil is clean . The dual exhaust needs the trumpets to exit the rear vallance . This mustang with some work would make a good movie or promo ca, it presents well in pictures, but has many paint faults up close, the paint has bubbling on hoo, trunk and fenders and some dents in rear vallance. You could also use this car for a good start to a lesser quality drive, or do a complete new restoration.. Clear title on hand . You can inspect cars at our yard.
