Description of 1950 Ford Other |
1950 Ford Custom Coupe No games guys please!!! These listings aren't free. If you are looking for a fully restored and updated vehicle, please look elsewhere as this isn't the car for you. If you are looking for a solid investment that you can enjoy now while you modify and upgrade it to your taste, read on as this is a great car! This is a really cool old shoebox Ford that is an older hot rod type build. It has drum brakes and manual steering and drives very nice. Steering is a workout while standing still! It's my wife's car and she had no problems handling it's 73 year old ways. Small block Chevy (283) powered. Runs strong and sounds great with mild cam and new glasspacks. Smokes a tiny bit when cold. Might be condensation as it clears quickly but just trying to be honest. Has excellent power and pulls hard in all gears. Doesn't use oil but does drip a little from the old pan gasket. Saginaw? 4 speed transmission that shifts smoothly and clutch is nice and firm. 8" Mustang rear end, exact ratio unknown but they are cruising gears, not a drag ratio. Steel wheels with brand new Hankook tires. New springs front and rear. Body is in good shape with very little in the way of filler or damage. Side trim is a little beat up and needs attention if you like the look. I was planning to shave it and fill the holes. The primer was sprayed on by a previous owner to give it a Rat Rod look. I agree, dumb idea. Look at the photos and you can see the magnet holds well and has good pull. It would not need much in the way of prep to lay a really nice paint job on it and have a real stunner. Pans are solid and no evidence of major rust or repair is evident. NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. IT'S A 73 YEAR OLD CAR. CLEAR TEXAS TITLE IN MY NAME Non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. BALANCE TO BE PAID VIA WIRE TRANSFER TO MY BANK OR CASH IN PERSON. ONCE PAYMENT IS COMPLETE PER MY BANK VEHICLE AND TITLE WILL BE RELEASED TO NEW OWNER. NO EXCEPTIONS. U.S. Bidders only |
