Description of 1992 Ford Mustang LX

Up for your consideration is a very rare opportunity. A 1992 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX Notchback with a manual 5 Speed dressed in the coveted Black exterior with the Titanium Gray interior. Power everything...most all options that were available for the 1992 model. This Fox has had a complete extensive mechanical restoration with pretty much everything gone through. The LX is completely restored to stock except for the following modifications...new 17X9 pony wheels with brand new Nitto NT555 G2 245/45 tires all around, K&N filter, Steeda Shorty Shifter, & lowering springs. That is it...everything else has original specs! Much effort was taken to keep the LX as original and stock looking as possible! The car runs out fantastic without issue! This is an original UA Black coupe that has been repainted and looks beautiful! Original V-8 5.0 that has been totally rebuilt. Original T-5 totally rebuilt Transmission! Entire driveline is original to the car (Matching Numbers) with only 500 miles on said restoration!
New...bearings, seals, gaskets, freeze plugs, rings, pistons, rods, lifters, timing chain, oil & water pumps, engine bay decals, A/C system, distributor & cover, spark plug wires, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, starter, ignition coil, starter relay & cover, wiper motor cover, heater core, aluminum clutch quadrant, switches & covers, locking actuators, window motors, window trim, weather-stripping, seals, strikers, shocks, struts, lowering springs, 17" Pony's, Nitto Tires, Walbro fuel pump, fuel filter, sending unit, windshield, ashtray, carpet, floor mats, LED cluster lights, battery, battery tray & hold down, O2 sensors, thermostat, antenna assembly w/cable, complete front brake system, etc...I know I am leaving many items out!
LX still has the original stock titanium tweed seats front/rear (beautiful), door decals, cat back pipe, flow master mufflers, original stainless pipes, headers, mint Ford headlights, taillights, hood insulator, quarter windows (beautiful condition)!
Minor items that still need addressing to be perfect...horn not operational, speedo jumps (maybe just needs some oil), cruise control not operational, trunk light not operational (bulbs), headliner lamp not operational (bulb), and power lumbar not operational...that is it! LX just had an extensive detail completed by a professional where he spent 3 hours on the car just buffing it out. Looks brand new!!!
I have owned a number of Fox Body's and this example is by far the nicest. A guaranteed show winner! The car needs absolutely nothing except the minor issues stated above. Comes with multiple brochures, reference manuals, original shifter, and other original parts! Sold as is with no warranties implied! Do not miss this op, as these Fox Body's are appreciating in value every year. This example is by far one of the hardest to find...'92 black notch 5 speed! 12/26/2022: I have had many questions on the LX in terms of how firm I am on the 'Buy It Now'. I have a little wiggle room, but not much. Reason being...a couple of offers in the low to mid $30,000 range. I have the car listed on Craig's List, so the listing here can end at any time. Just took the LX out on a 30' joy ride through the Texas countryside and this car really runs well. It is also the fastest Fox Stang that I have owned. I will miss this example terribly! 1/1/2023: Happy New Year! Lowered the "Buy It Now" $5,000! Pretty close to firm on this number with a little wiggle room! High Interest on a fine example of the Fox Body! I have had multiple offers on the LX, but none quite being the right number to let her go. Thanks for everyone's interest! Still have about 3 weeks left before the listing ends, so do not hesitate...she is a rare (961 built) and beautiful example that runs out incredibly well! 1/2/2023: Just made a Discount Tire appointment for the LX on Friday...putting a brand new set of Nitto NT555 G2 tires on the car in the size 245/45/17 all around! I thought $770 for the set was a fair deal! The tires that were on the car had old date codes and must of been bought while the car went through its restoration. The 275 Nitto's on the rear had a date that was 8 years old, so new shoes all around! Now the set can be rotated since the same size tires/wheels are on her, as I bought 2 17X9 Pony Wheels from LMR to have a set of 4 same size wheels too! The set will really look nice IMHO! 1/4/2023: Lowered the Buy It Now another $1000, so ponder that fair price! This new Buy It Now is close to my bottom. Just to nice of an example and I would be really hard pressed to find another like her! It took me over 10 years to find a black LX Notch in this condition...hence waiting for the right offer. If the LX does not sell, I am making plans to get over to Foxtoberfest this October in North Carolina with the LX, as there were over 700 Fox Body's in attendance last year! 1/13/2023: Just installed from LMR...new brake/clutch pedal pads, had an extra NOS set of keys cut, and an airbox decal that was missing. Took her out for a spin and runs out great! She really likes the cold air we have been having here in Texas as of late. Since it is the infamous Friday the 13th...I dropped the Buy It Now price once again. About a week left on the listing! Have a couple of interested parties from Craig's List with one coming over to view the car this weekend if he can get time off work! The car can be viewed no worries with appointment! I will not relist the LX...will keep the car and enjoy! Always looked for this exact car (Black 5.0 Notch LX 5 Speed) and finally found one that is really nice! 1/19/2023: Yep...dropping the Buy It Now one final time before the listing ends on Saturday. Hope this gives a little incentive to a serious/potential buyer, as I have had some lamebrains making $6500-$15000 offers since the listing is getting close to ending. I am not letting the car go until I get the right number in my mind. That number in my mind has lowered in the past week from other collector's saying I may be a little high on said number!
