Description of 1969 Ford Mustang

Ford Mustang.

1969 Mustang Fastback; Mach 1 Clone

90,157 miles (at posting).

Serial Number: 9F02F***** 63A T 2D 13A 65 3 W

Candy Apple Red, Red/Black Mach 1 Interior, black carpet,351W 4-barrel carburetor, 4 speed.

The car sold recently, but the buyer backed out. New thermostat housing, water pump, lowerradiator hose and belt. During thatprocess, I removed the air conditioner compressor (A/C was not working). Will reinstall back into the car if the buyerprefers. There is a slow leak (drip) comingfrom the heater core, so I by-passed the heater core because the new ownermight want to upgrade the A/C to new technology. We only drive the car on nice days with thewindows down. Installed new plug wires, condenser, points, distributor cap, and plugs.Starts and runs smoothly.

History: We purchasedthe car in 2000 from California. Basedon the numbers, the car was originally a red fastback with a 302 and automatictransmission, delivered to OK City. Since 2000, the car has been garage/shop keptand driven sparingly on nice weather days.

We had an original 1969 Mach I – however the body was too rustedto keep so we took the original Mach I engine and in 2001 we put the originalengine in the body of the 1969 fastback and rebuilt the engine (351W 4bbl outof a 1969 Mach 1), installed a new carburetor (Edelbrock), new carpet, highperformance clutch, new tires, new front seat covers, and painted the hood. The engine is stock, other than the carb.

Body: Garage kept since 2000. The car was repainted sometimebefore we purchased it 2000 and is old paint technology and has some fade spotson the top. We re-painted the hood (not underneath) in 2002. I am not a bodyexpert but everything appears to be original, other than the front passengerfender, which looks like it might have been replaced. Rust: When we replaced the carpet in 2000, wenoticed that the passenger floor pan had been replaced.

Interior: For a 53-year-oldcar, the interior is in good condition for 53 years old. The front seat covers were replaced in 2001. Thereis a tear (stitching at a seam) in the middle of the back seat and some small tearsin the arm rests. The gages work, exceptthe clock. The back seat is not thefold-down type.

Breaks/Suspension/Steering:The car has disk brakes on front, and I assume were stock. They are “power assist”. I have not touched the breaks since2000. It does not have power steering.

Payment: A $500 deposit (wire transfer) is required within72 hours of the closing bid. Car will bereleased for pickup or shipment when full payment is made via wire transferunless otherwise agreed upon. The buyerunderstands that this is a 53- year-old car, that has not been restored.

I have attempted to describe the car fully. Please call with questions. I will text you any photo you desire.
