Description of 1965 Ford Mustang

True Classic.

Here is a numbers Matching and a true original rangoon red fastback. It has about 50 miles on the car since having it professionally painted. Lazer straight sides and body panels. Super finish.

Rust free

If you are looking for just the perfect combination of an original classic. THIS IS IT.

Here is the story on the car. This fastback came out of central Florida. I've had it for 15+ years. The car runs and drives nice. Someone needs to drive the car much more than I do and Fine Tune it.

If you like driving, a classic- then this is a perfect way for you to own the car of your dreams. All the hard work is done..The car has had no accidents.

All ready done :

New brakes, new FlowMaster exhaust system. new lines and fuel tank. New wheels and Redline tires. All the stainless steel trim is original and in wonderful condition. New bumpers. All the glass is original. The hood, deck lid and tail light panel is new old stock or official Ford replacement. The doors and fenders are original and were in great shape. The rails and torque panels are rock solid. We replaced 2 small sections of the floor pan to make sure the entire floor was now solid. The floor was then sealed and painted top and bottom. New rear quarter panels and drops were replaced. The car was taken down to bare metal. Primed and prepped to be straight with no waves in any of the panels with everything lined up nicely. . The glass was removed along with the whole interior and trim. Then the body of the car was painted. The doors, trunk, fenders, front end and rear panels were all painted off the car by a professional shop here in town. Then everything was reassembled. The trunk area is super.

Powertrain:

The engine is the original 289 c-code. The original owner had put on a new high performance intake and headers.I have not really done anything to the engine because it has run well. I did have the original C-4 transmission out of the and had that serviced since the body work was taking so long. There is a transmission drip, it's a slow drip, and I really think it is because I don't drive the car enough and the front seal needs to stay wet. There are no other leaks of engine oil or anything else. I just wanted the buyer to know about that transmission drip. I do have an original intake, valve covers and a rebuilt carb. My plan was to replace that aftermarket intake and carb back to original because I like the look of a completely original engine bay. but That is just another example of me not having enough time. to do everything I wanted. This is an original A/C car. The compressor is still installed. I have the underdash part of the A/C and line, but that still needs to be installed. (A/C was more important in Florida than here in Michigan.).

New drum brakes all around, master cylinder and lines.( the brakes still need to be dialed in even better)

Cowl was solid so there was no need to replace that so I sealed up the air intake vents. The heater box and lines are all redone.

New battery.

The interior:

The carpet is new. The folding rear seat carpet is new. The interior quarter panels in trim are original, uncut, and now freshened up. The headliner is new. The dash pad is new. The dash has been detailed out. The white seats are deluxe pony fabric. I do not think this car originally came with Pony trim seats. From the factory the data plate code for the interior in white with red trim. I left the pony interior fabric on the seats because They are in great condition and I like the look. The standard interior door cards are original and red. There are a couple of poke holes in the door cards and you may wish to change those.

There is a small box of items that come with the car with things like a new tail light wire harness, new radio knobs etc.

Hopefully I have explained the condition clearly. There are just a few things to put on the car like the windlace. I will try to get those on, but I might not get to it.

I have even more pictures, just let me know if you have any questions or need more pictures or videos. If you are a serious buyer, you are welcome to come by to look over the car before you buy. I live on the west side of Michigan. The buyer needs to set up and pay for shipping. I would need full payment before I released the car of course. I do not need any trades. It is a wonderful car and is sold AS-IS. You may call me with questions, just message me and I will get you contact information. I can sell it to an overseas buyer, yet I still need full payment with-in 7 days of the auction ending.

I most likely have missed something about the car, but after 15 years I have touched almost every thing on the car, but have forgotten about it. It has been my pleasure and dream to own the car, but it is time to get the car out of the garage and out on the road.

Clean title in my name.
