I purchased this car about 20 years ago from a fellow near the east gate of Yellowstone Park. He had given it to his daughter who simply parked it outside her motel for 5 years with the sign “AUTO INN” on each side. Seeing this, the fellow took it back and sold it to me. Due to weathering, it has a unique appearance, even for a Model T. I put three coats of marine varnish on it, and it has aged well. I have seven brass Model T’s so this one just does not get driven, and it is time for it to go to someone who will enjoy it, especially someone new to the hobby who wants a trouble-free experience.
The car is mechanically strong. Several years ago, the crankshaft broke so the engine/transmission (Kevlar bands) underwent a complete rebuild by an experienced engine builder. It starts and runs well at 35-40 mph; the magneto is strong, and the engine should go for many years of normal use.My guess is there are only a few hundred miles on this rebuild because I mostly drive my brass T’s. Most of my time with it I used it as a camper. The electrical system is 12 volts, has an alternator and has been upgraded with a starter. It has an Anderson style timer, Rocky Mountain brakes, good 21-inch tires and a full set of side curtains. The coils have been rebuilt and tuned on my ECCT. I have the WI title. The T is in Siren, WI. I can deliver it within a 500-mile radius for $1/mile.
