Description of 1923 Ford Model T

This is a Genuine CAL Automotive first production Fiberglass T-Bucket Cal Automotive made some of the very first fiberglass bodies for the T-Bucket fad that started in the early 60’s. This body was mounted on a custom made boxed frame. The car spent many years unfinished until 1970. The majority of this car is period correct from the early to mid 60’s. I purchase it from the Original Owners Grandson. He started and finish the project in California, but moved to Memphis in the late 60’s and was working security for the KING. After his job was over, he moved to Michigan, and then to Florida where the car sat for nearly 30 years and was not drivable any longer. When we acquired it it had been sitting in a storage unit. No the King did not own it, but did have a drive around in it a few times. According to the grandson and family lore. The Drive train: A 1959 Oldsmobile rear that was custom fit with 4 link and rear coil springs. The Engine is a 1966 327 with double hump 2.02/1.60 valves TRW 10.5-1 .030 over forged pistons, Steel Crank. Cam was upgraded to Lunati 290/300 Duration, very nice lovey idle. The Intake is a W4DC 4x2 intake and 4 Holley FORD ORIGINAL 94 carbs. Yes it is running on all 4 carbs. The ignition is a GRANT SPALDING “Flame Thrower” running on 2 Mallory Vintage Coils. The Transmission is a Turbo 350 and is stock with no mods. The front suspension is typical Front straight axle. Steering is via a Chevy Corvair Steering box. Radiator is NEW. Braking is all NEW Wilwood, we upgraded the brakes. Tire and wheels are all NEW. It originally had Hurst Airheart, but they no long make any parts for them. The car runs, drives and stops great! The top and top bows are missing when we purchased it but can be purchased for 699.00 from Sprit Industries. I like to drive it open!! There are thousands of dollars and hours of labor to bring this beauty back to life. Answers to silly questions: How fast is it?- There are no seatbelts and no roll cage. Answer am not a teenager will to risk my life to find out. How much Horse Power? I did not dyno it. It is fast enough that the first question applies. Although it is a very nice looking car it has some minor wear and tear issues, expected for a 55 year old car. We did not attempt to re-paint or fix any scratches. We left the history in place. Buyer Beware, this car is sold AS, that MEANS AS IS!!!!
