Description of 1965 Ford Mustang

This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback sports a sleek black finish complemented by gray and red vinyl accent stripes. I've equipped it with a black grille, gray tail panel, body-color bumpers, chrome mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear valance. I've taken great care of it, stripping and repainting the body making sure there's no rust on the lower quarter panels.
She sits on ten-spoke US Mags 18″ wheels with Delinte Thunder D7 tires (215/40 at the front and 225/45 at the back). I've fitted it with a lowered coilover suspension, an E-Stopp electronic parking brake, and aftermarket rear shock absorbers. The Wilwood master cylinder ensures efficient braking, with discs at all four corners. I had the suspension serviced and the four-wheel disc brakes installed in 2017, and the power-steering system got a thorough check in 2023.
Inside, you'll find Pony-style TMI front bucket seats and a rear bench, all adorned in black upholstery. I've equipped it with aftermarket air conditioning, a center console, Pony-branded floor mats, faux-woodgrain trim accents, and polished door sills. For safety, I've added three-point seatbelts at the front and lap belts in the rear. I've replaced the glovebox, headliner, underlayment, carpeting, seats, and door panels.
I've mounted a wood steering wheel to a tilting column, framing an AutoMeter 160-mph speedometer, tachometer, and gauges that monitor fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. I replaced the steering wheel myself. The odometer reads about 600 miles, but the actual chassis mileage is unknown.
Under the hood, the 302ci V8 has been rebuilt and now features a performance camshaft, tubular exhaust headers, MSD components, and an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor. I had the oil pan and radiator replaced in 2017 and recently, in April 2023, installed an Antigravity battery and recently changed the oil and filters.
I've channeled power to the rear wheels using a replacement T5 five-speed manual transmission paired with an 8″ rear axle. Both have been rebuilt under my care. In 2017, I installed a new clutch, cable, flywheel, limited-slip differential, 28-spline axles, and 3.00:1 gears. The dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers gives it a distinct roar.
Included in the sale are a RetroSound digital stereo, an instrument cluster, my service records from 2017, and even an extra horn.
I've also installed a new trim tag on the door, and a state VIN inspection record can be found in the gallery.
Upfront Notes:- Virginia title does have a “Not Actual” odometer brand.- Windshield-wiper arms should be replaced,- Left vent window doesn't stay open- Fit of the hood and deck lid could be better- There's some bubbling paint around the drip rails, and there are some chips and scratches (which you can see in the provided photo gallery).- Dashboard has a bit of warp
