Original Steel and rare AR series model A, high quality custom with a satin black finish built by friend and long time car guru Tom Johnson here in Dallas. Tom lived the model T - A custom street scene... as in "where were you in 62"... He will tell you! This was a lifetime achievement using the best of that era with a few modern twists where needed. Red custom interior with many original parts. Rare AR cast iron running board supports and fender supports, original ford steel fenders, boards and entire vintage body. Steel floor added, original AR radiator support and much much more make this real AR series custom one of a kind. Frame is original Henry frame that has been boxed and strengthened very well. About 10 years ago this well sorted and seasoned car came to our shop and we reconfigured it lightly from the 4BBL 265 SBC vintage engine it ran for as long the car was built. Powered now by a GM Performance 4 bolt 350, STD bore, forged, Hyd Roller with crane 1.5 rollers, Crane Cam, "double hump" 2.02 reproduction aluminum heads topped off with a 60s vintage Offenhauser 4x2 Intake with 4 Rochester 2G Carbs. This is what the Milner coupe had from American Graffiti, but the block/heads/cam in this car are certainly more potent and very reliable. With a mild 10:1 compression on a high flow/rev engine producing 470HP, this lightweight well sorted Model A is a rocket but can drive to shows and cruise events still. Sporting a set of wheelie bars now adds to the look and does provide a little safety if called on. All are Mated to a well built 700R4 and 4:10 posi GM 7.5 beefed up diff, 4 wheel disk brakes. Zoomie coated headers with street baffles. In 2022 it won first place in Dallas Autorama for the model A category. In 2019 it won first place vintage pickup. It holds tons awards from all the local and more major events it has been to over its many years. This is far from a throw together and certainly was a lifetime of knowledge, love, care and dreams here in this car.
