Description of 1928 Ford Model A |
A one of a kind time capsule of Los Angeles drag racing legends all having their hand in this build Found in a storage unit a couple of years ago. I only performed a preservation restoration on it and drag raced it at TROG and RPM Nationals events ending up in the finals each time. The primer is from 1962 as well as the chassis paint and left it alone. It’s a race truck no working headlights or taillights. The Build started in 1959. The owner was Ed Woodward Pasadena Ca. He had M&V automotive of Pasadena build the entire chassis, custom hairpin, engine trans mounts rollbar, headers, custom aluminum firewall scattershield etc. He had Blair’s Speed shops Tim Timmerman build the 1956 265 Vette with 283 FI pistons, 283 truck heads, CT precision crank, Albro alloy flywheel and clutch, Gherity built the 1960 T-10 tran, it has a 1956 Chevy rear axle with Getz gears, Lincoln front brakes, Blair’s Speedshop big drop axle, ford f-1 box, fenders look NOS and have receipts from 62, body is pretty damn straight with zero rust, engine has a modern aftermarket intake and carb for racing only. I have the original windshield assembly and every single receipt including tow bar and roll cage. This is a very solid rust free pickup and with the build history it would make a great candidate for AMBR competitor if done right. Vehicle Details Full race ASR drag pickup, full race 1956 265 Chevy Corvette engine. Full race T-10 transmission, full race 56 Chevy rear axle with Getz Gears. Chassis is full race custom built. |
