This is an all-original 1986 Ford Mustang GT ready for restoration. It will run by spraying into the intake & will drive, but does not currently run on its own. It retains all the original date-coded parts as seen within the photos even down to the spark plug wires. The overall condition of the engine bay is fair with it needing a full teardown and inspection of all mechanical parts due to age. Brakes do function but need to be rebuilt due to age. The interior is original, but like everything else, does need some repairs due to the age of the car. Carpet will likely need to be replaced due to staining seen in the photos.
Overall, the body is mostly straight with the most serious problem being a major body dent under the driver side rear quarter window. There are no obvious signs of floor pan rust along with frame rail rust. The paint is in poor condition and would require a repaint as areas are suffering from surface rust like the roof. The plastics and rubbers are dry rotted along with the tires needing replacement. The side molding rubbers are in fairly good condition along with the front bumper cover being in fair condition. The rear bumper cover needs more work as it has started to deteriorate.
This 1986 Mustang GT is a solid project car to start a factory original restoration or good base to build something modified.
