Description of 1988 Ford F-250 |
|
The 1988 Ford F-250 is a modified vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year and has mainly used it for weekend drives. The vehicle is drivable and has a clean title. With a mileage of 180,000, this white Ford F-250 is a reliable and updated version of a classic pickup truck, perfect for various outdoor adventures. Vehicle Details For sale is my 1988 F-250 XLT Lariat. A little over 180,000 miles. Lifted suspension Truck is currently running with no check engine lights but after driving for about 20-30 minutes it occasionally develops a stutter and wants to stall. Someone who knows TBI can probably have her running right in no time. Truck has the following new parts with less than 400 miles on all of them. Flex plate Fuel tank selector valve Fuel tank selector switch Fuel pumps in both tanks Primary fuel pump Primary fuel filter EGR valve EGR solenoid EGR position sensor MAP sensor ECS Relay Fuel Pump Relay Driveshaft center support bearing Intake plenum gaskets Throttle body gasket Valve cover gaskets Oxygen sensor Ignition assembly (old keys still unlock the doors. New keys only for ignition) Starter (powermaster 9103) Upper radiator hose All front and rear driveshaft U-Joints Lower windshield corner lights (yellow) Rear tow hitch lights (white) Bed mounted Tool box Exhaust from the downpipes back. New muffler. (No Catalytic Conveter) Transmission and Transfer case both have new fluids in them (had to drop both to replace the flex plate) So does the engine. I also have a bunch of parts that I was going to install on the truck as well that in the back seat or the tool box. It all goes with. The one thing I’d definitely do right away is the passenger side quarter window. The one in the truck now is busted so there’s no latch to lock it closed. This truck is a workhorse. I haven’t really gotten to drive it too much in the last year. Maybe a thousand miles total but I’ve used her for hauling stuff from Home Depot, lumber yard, etc. and it it’s perfect for that. Have also towed my trailer a few times with it and she’s still got the power you need to get the job done. Also, this truck is lifted up very high, kind of ridiculous but the nice thing is you can work underneath her without lifting it at all. Silver lining. Surprisingly rust free for the age. There are some surface rust spots on the roof and a few other tiny spots on the paint around the truck. The rear passenger side wheel well is rusted a bit in the inside. At some point the previous owner or maybe the owner before him painted the bottom half of the exterior with bed liner. The white you see below the detail stripe is all bed liner. There’s also a rust spot on one of the bottom corners of the radiator support on the front clip. It’s not falling apart but it’s there. The stumbling or stuttering after she’s driving for a while started recently and I haven’t been able to figure it out but I’m ready to part ways with the old rig and hope someone who knows what they’re doing picks her up. I’d probably recommend trailering or towing it home with you but if you’re a braver man than I am, drive her out. |
