Description of 1968 Ford Mustang |
1968 Ford Mustang convertible ULTRA RARE Rainbow of colors HOT Passionate Playboy PINK only made for Valentine's day. Born with a 289 v8 2v carburetor now has Non-matching 289 v8 rebuilt for modern fuel with correct Ford intake manifold and 4v Summit racing carburetor added for reliability and more power. 3-speed manual transmission on the floor. It has NO power steering or brakes. In the almost 9 years I've owned her she has been driven only in the summer months 10. 50 miles and garaged in the winter to escape the Ohio misery. Original owner had her for 24 years. Included is a copy of this title from 1968. Somewhere in the 14 year interim she had her floors professionally replaced and a mediocre paint job applied. I could go into the rarity of this car but better to read these links. They are very informative. My research shows there were only about 12 of them made in 1968. Marti report is included to show 1 of 4 NOT taking into consideration the color. So likely 1 of 1. The only one. mustangattitude. com/mustang/68rainbowofcolors. shtmlmustangattitude. com/mustang/pink_mustang. shtmlin the last 4 years I have kept her up with the following:2010: new starter and solenoid2011: Summit racing carburetor. 4v Ford intake manifold. replaced rear transmission seal. replaced convertible top cylinders and flushed system. all new dual exhaust from the stock exhaust manifolds to the tailpipes including dual exhaust valance under the bumper2014: new freeze plug kit. thermostat. coolant and water pump lube. gas cap. windshield interior chrome. and rear leaf springs with shackles and shock absorbersShe is a car that has been driven - NOT on the back of a trailer and shows various paint chips and imperfections such as but not limited to:sun faded carpeting from mostly top down useidiot light showing BRAKE but she has always stopped perfectly. Must be e-brake relatedheater inoperativehorn also inop3" tear on seam of driver's seatrear seat belts buckles missingdoor key locks were removed but I have and will include them. We found that the trunk worked best for our valuables when out. She is ALWAYS left unlocked so thieves would not be compelled to split her top open with a knife only to find nothing of value. the hood doesn't sit quite right by the windshield. Not sure how to adjust that. passenger kick panel has a crack. All in all a new paint job with some minor details would make her into a real show-stopper. I have included 2 pictures of her biggest flaws with bottle cap to show size. 1 is on the driver side front of the door and 2 between driver door and rear wheel. If there are any other areas you would like a picture of please let me know. I work 11a-7p but check my email nightly and will return requests immediately if it takes me all night. If you feel like talking about her I am at (216)201-9390 during 11a-7p EST. I answer Cleveland Mattress. GO BROWNS. Low reserve. NO RETURNS. She is 47 years old and I am no auto expert. I will make myself available to meet an appraiser or someone you trust to inspect her. Please don't bid unless you have the funds. OK here's some legal mumbo jumbo that should make everyone happy.
