Description of 1963 Ford F-100 |
you are bidding on a 1963 Ford f100 short wide bed 2wd pickup . his truck will start on the coldest of days and drive 70mph down the road . This truck has lived its entire life in New Mexico . It was purchased by a Gentleman From Los Alamos Labs in 1963 from a Dealer in Denver Colorado . 6 yrs later My Neighbors Son Purchased the truck . ast year I purchased the truck from him . A disabled Vet he could no longer operate the 3sp transmission easily . The f100s factory 223 straight 6 still starts easily and runs without issue odometer says 117xxx miles. it doesn’t get hot even on the hottest of New Mexico Summer days . prob because it still has its Brass Radiator . with a recent flush and new radiator cap I thought the gauge was broken . it wasn’t . this truck runs nice and cool . The original Oil Bath air cleaner system is still functioning perfect . new fuel pump. new starter . new cap and Rotor . ew ignition coil . ignition switch . ew exhaust from the manifold back with a new muffler (period correct sound. not some Cherry Bomb )all the fluids were topped off . ew spark plugs . djusted factory manual choke. starts cold . arm its a runner that doesn’t smoke and still has good power . you won’t be winning any races but once up to speed . no prob maintaing it . the Original 3spd column shift or (3 on da tree) is still working fine . cumbersome at first . mooth when your used it . 3 forward gears one reverse they all work . clutch is good . no chatters or slipping . no whining noises either . big ol factory 12 bolt posi rearend . actory highway gears . he brakes are manual & were bled and it stops straight . 4 new tires (less than 200 miles on them $400. 00(and a set of(2) rear Custom turned deep dish stock steelies wrapped in fat OG BFG’s from Wheels Vintique ($650. 00) if you want to take the hotrod route they fit perfect even if truck was hella Dropped . no rubbing so you get 5 stock rims with tires and 2 widened steel wide wheels and two fresh BFG tires for the rear . the interior . the seat has some holes on the drivers side . the back is still nice . the original runner floor mat is worn at the heel points under the pedal . the speedo goes crazy till about 40 mph . the interior lights and dash lights all work . he wipers work and new expensive correct blades are new . the gas gauge and temp gauge also work . he 2 speed heater works . he floors are rock solid and the all the glass is factory and not cracked or lacked . the headliner is nice too . Theres no radio or antenna . nd the dash hasn’t been cut . the runner however is rotten around the windows . doors close beautifully with that all-American Truck sound . the body is what it is . the bed has got some damage on the lower rear . he front fenders have rotted out in the typical spot where ford forgot to put proper drainage . and plenty of character (dents scratches dents ext ) but at least its original paint with wonderful patina & hasn’t been flat blacked or rattle can prime red and labeled a “hotrod” it is missing the rear bumper . license plate light and bracket are still there. U buffed and waxed the entire truck where i bought it to seal all the goodness in . its rough but solid and original . the inside of the bed is pretty good . no rot . the tailgate has some soft spots and dents . still functions well . the title is clear From New Mexico and in my name . this is a wonderful truck to drive . I bought this truck so Dad and I could build one last hotrod together that he could use at the flea market and i could cruise around New Mexico in but things change and after 72 years he wants to build a Chevy with an automatic ……… Pops still rules :) please don’t bid unless you plan on following thru . don’t try to trade me your 81 Camaro laying in the weeds at your uncles house . and don’t email with $1500 offers . Dan Romero is a slimy shady spineless loser . Thanks for bidding . I have sold many old trucks on ebay All to very happy satisfied customers . bid with confidence . shipping is the buyer/bidders responsibility . I can store vehicle for 15 days from the end of the auction for no charge . Located just off Ol Route 66 in Central New Mexico . mother Truck for the Mother road ! the last two pictures show the extra two rear wheels and tires and the last one is photoshopped to show what the truck would look like with a healthy drop. the truck has never been lowered . also the horn doesn't work and a new blinker column assembly needs be installed (new part included ) current registration / insurance as it driven weekly |
