Description of 1979 Ford F-250 |
Overall above fair condition. I am the 3rd owner. I received the truck from my father who took very good care of it. It was involved in a minor accident some years ago. My father repurchased from the salvage yard and had it fixed. He was issued a rebuilt salvage title. Many new things and upgrades put into it. Dual gas tanks. New fuel lines. Dual exhaust. All new interior upholstery and stereo and speakers. Does not have original 351 Windsor engine. It currently has 400 v8 engine that was put in the last 20. 00 miles. I don't believe the engine was new. My father is in bad health and i am not able to get a lot of info from him. It does have some minor issues. A few minor paint scratches. Tailgate does not close completely. it sticks on one side a little bit. Passenger side mirror sits on a bad swivel and wants to move around. Headlight high/low beam switch on floor board is a little sticky. Bed rail has small dent near front. Rear bumper does not sit completely level. The carburetor misses a slight bit and needs adjusted. These are the only things that I've seen wrong with it. I've only had it a short time. I don't have the ways and means to keep up with it and make any repairs or upgrades. It has been smoke free while my father and I owned it. There are also no rust issues that I have seen. First owner used to spray the underside to protect it from the elements. It's quite solid and runs and drives nice with the exception of the slight miss in the carb. Final payment can be made via cashier check and buyer is responsible for all shipping details and costs.
