This is a Model 48. 85 bhp. 221 Flat Head ( L-Head ) V-8 engine. three speed manual transmission. solid front axle and live rear transverse semi-elliptical leaf springs. and four wheel-wheel mechanical drum brakes. Wheel Base 112 inches * Canadian market Ford Sold in Ontario* original car with one repaint* Well preserved features Ford Motor Company of Canada. Ltd was Ford's first venture outside the United States. Established in August 1904. production began the following month. The chassis number began with the same "18" prefix as U. S. built prewar Fords. followed by the "C" for "Canada" and then the shorter serial sequence. due to lower Canadian production. This splendid Three-Window coupe was originally in northern Ontario where it was kept and maintained by its original owner until the1960's. The next owner repainted it from the original blue to the current burgundy with black fenders. It changed hands again in 1972. at which time it showed some 42. 00 miles. the current mileage. is believed correct. is just short of 70. 00 miles. The paint aside the car is original. the original upholstery is showing modest wear and tear for a eighty year old car. The rear window works and the rear window shade is intact and operates. the original jack and tire tools are also included with the car. All of the gauges. speedometer. lights. dual horns and fog lights work on the car. the paint is very nice and all of the chrome. trim and bright work are very nice as well.
