Description of 1972 Ford Mustang

NEVADA CLASSIC CAR DEALER # 40339 . VIN # 2F03H196674 BAD ASS is all I can think of to say about this amazing 1972 Resto-Mod ‘MACH 1′ Ford Mustang Convertible. But there is so much more to say about this car: http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=GdH2HTi6PjQ&feature=youtu. be Ford produced fewer convertibles (6. 21) in 1972 then any other year. Fewer still had the 351 Cleveland engine and when you add the Mach 1 equipment that makes this a very rare unit. Ford never called the convertible a Mach 1 but the Mach 1 equipment such as the grill. honeycomb rear panel and the flip-down gas was available on special order. Black was not standard. and took a special order to get this color — it’s a Lincoln code. Factory Ram Air is also a rare option. The ram air hood can be found on many of the 71-73 Mustangs but the plenum on the underside of the hod and the very rare air cleaner with the rubber seal are almost never found. These are necessary for the ram air system to work. It adds up to 30 HP at speed. Look like ONLY 3848 Miles on the rebuild ! But this is a resto-mod so it was chosen to modernize this car a bit for better looks and performance: Factory guages are almost unreadable so Autometer white face guages were installed. And to help prevent the car from being stolen a Grant removable steering wheel was added. An Auburn locker diffeential was installed i the Ford 9 inch housing wiht 3. 50 gears. To keep the rpms down while driving at freeway speeds is a Ford AOD 4 speed Automatic tranny built by Lentech Transmissions. It includs a 2500 rpm stall torque converter. a 3rd and 4th gear coverger unlock system and a 4th gear electric lockout. Replacing the boring vinyl is a brand new hand-stitched black leather upholstery with white piping. A Cougar electric seat was installed to assist in driver positioning. An upgrade MP3 stereo with a 400 watt amp subwoofer in the trunk. New Black & Chrome Mustang wheels with T/A Radials.
