1957 ford custom 300 2 door post sedan. Project or parts no engine or transmission. Offered for your consideration is a very complete 1957 ford custom 300 two door project car minus engine and transmission. No accident damage. The good:Rare. rare. rare very few survivors. very complete. Seats and interior were redone in a diamond pattern at some time in the past. Its all still in very good shape. but needs a basic cleaning. Underdash air conditioning unit is still in place. The trunk is pretty clean (no rust through that I found including the spare tire well. In the pics. you can see the power steering pump sitting in the trunk. All drip rails are solidDoors open and close smoothlyAround glass appears good and solidAll trim is thereFront bumper is sitting on the floor in front of the carAll sheetmetal repair parts it needs is reproduced and not expensive. It is an amazingly good looking car completed. I encourage you to do a web search. Clear title in my name. Comes with two other taillight lenses. If you are a ford guy. this is the holy grail of fords of this vintage. The bad:No motor or transmission. Needs front floor and rocker work plus other general restoration work. 2 small dents in the roof. Front clip is removed and just sitting there for restoration reasons. There is rust to repair as would be expected in a vehicle of this vintage. The car was painted in black lacquer back in the day. There are cracks in the old paint. The front panel has surface rust with minor pitting. The car is dusty and the paint is chalky. plus my storage building doesn't have power. so the lighting is just sunlight and camera flash. If you've been looking for this car. here it is. Rare (an overused cliché but. in this case applicable) and complete. The only reason I'm selling is I need the dry storage space. I know a car hauling shipper who can deliver this if you need help in that area. I will put you in touch with him after the auction ends if desired. In my opinion. this car is styled better than a 1955 1956 or 1957 chevy. You be the judge. It begs for a 390. 429 or 428 and a toploader.
