My wife and I always take pride in who notices old Ford's first (she usually wins) but I believe I noticed this one first! It was black and silver. the paint was faded but the truck was in excellent condition. In or about 1980 I went to go see the movie Urban Cowboy. The actors put on a good show but the true star was John Travolta's 1979 F-150. I thought it was a 4x4 but later discovered it was a lifted two wheel drive. Since seeing the movie. I have always wanted to build a truck like that one. I decided to throw the vault at this truck. wanting to put the body on a 79 F-350 4x4. After picking the truck up from its vacation at the body shop. I realized this truck was too good to disassemble. The truck then sat in my warehouse for 3 years. and I still haven't made up my mind. So I decided to list it on Ebay and if it sells I will be happy. if it doesn't. I will take it apart and put it on a 350 as originally planned. The engine has 150 psi static compression in each cylinder. within 5%. Has excellent oil pressure. motor is balances really well and it does not drip any fluids. Before it was stored the air blew ice cold but while in storage some Freon leaked out and I haven't recharged because I may put it on an F-350. The transmission shifts really well and the passage linkage is still in place and operational. New parts: Windshield and gasket. CR Lawrence slider and gasket. new door vent seals. new window weather stripping (anti-rattle kit) door deals. all chrome. all light lenses on exterior. New steel chrome grill shell. all grill components new. Mechanical new parts: Starter. voltage regulator. battery. cables. electronic ignition module. spark plugs. fuel pump. filter and hoses. Rebuilt carburetor. I have the aluminum wheels like on the movie truck in storage. possibly can go with truck. You can view images and movie clips on YouTube of John Travolta's truck in Urban Cowboy Shipping is the responsibility of buyer but I may be able to drive it to the airport nearest you in the Continental United States.
