Description of 1962 Ford Falcon Deluxe

1962 Ford Falcon Deluxe Wagon. These aren't seen to often. All deluxe trim present. Stalled project with 170 c. i. engine and Ford-O-Matic auto trans. This is an original California car. built at San Jose assembly plant and ordered through Los Angeles DSO. Solid body. Good body. quarters. rockers. spare well. Washboards intact and in great shape. Some of the “Deluxe” options include chrome window surrounds and rear quarter aluminum “washboard” trim that was a one year option on the Falcon. Have trim for RH doors. shown in pictures. Rear glass rolls down good. tailgate opens fine. rear bumper removed because it is bent and interferes with tailgate operation. Comes with car. Came off with hand tools. The bad is footwells. Both rear and right front rusted through and need replacement. Drivers side is soft. Car is all original other than radio. has dealer installed "FORD" A/C unit under dash. Compressor is missing. Brackets and A/C cooling fan present. One small stone chip in windshield. all other glass good. Needs a taillight lense. RF door handle mechanism needs repair. There are no keys for vehicle. Ignition switch and key and door locks will need replacement. The seats and headliner are in very good condition. Have had running several times by filling float bowl. Runs good. No running off a bottle. fuel pump bad. Missing air cleaner lid. Trans fluid pink but trans condition unknown. Clear Michigan title. Title VIN matches VIN on door tag and VIN on underhood strut. There is a second number on underhood strut under VIN. Deputy says may be from repossession or impoundment and auction years ago. Wanted to mention in interest of full disclosure. Car has 3. 50:1 rear axle ratio and was built July 30. This car is very solid and has great bones. Will save hundreds of dollars in body repair panels and labor. as well as interior work. Excellent starting point for restoration. hot rod or rat rod. Happy to answer any questions.
