Description of 1966 Ford Mustang

For sale is my 1966 Ford Mustang that was rebuilt 15610 miles ago. It has been sitting for a year at my son's at college in CA where it is now. He was not comfortable with a manual transmission.I went to start it and it wouldn't start. Bought a new battery and it fired right up. Turned it off and went inside came back out to go get it cleaned and it wouldn't start. Sounds like it may need a new starter and I need to return home so can't tend to it.It is being sold as mileage exempt since I can't attest to how many miles it had before restoration but I have driven it about 10 miles since I bought it almost 2 years ago. It sat here in CA when it needed a new clutch. Eventually my son went and got that taken care of but then it sat in his garage. It sounds great! It has a Hurst 5 speed manual with a Pioneer MP3 player and Clarion equalizer. It has a kill switch for the engine. I have replaced the clutch in it and it has a new heavy duty battery. While at my son's the driver's side door panel "somehow" became broken and would need to be replaced. It also got a scuff on the left rear corner panel and the parking break handle is bent. I don't want to bend it back because it is plastic and will probably break. The handle should also be replaced. If I were to keep the car I would also replace the carpets as they have faded to a dark grey from black. The hood scoop is functional feeding the 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor with the Edelbrock air filter. The car has that muscle car sound and is a blast to drive. It will need some TLC from the owner and with the issues mentioned could become a great daily driver or restored to show quality.Oh it has had the doors shaved meaning it has no door handles. It is relatively easy to put the door handles back on and they are less than $50 here on eBay.Please let me know if you have any questions.Thank you for looking.
