Take to the ground and visit our friends at the historic museum or make your way to Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom located minutes away. The exterior showcases a repaint of the original Caspian Blue color. This dark metallic blue color shows well over the straight body. The current owners purchased this Mustang in 1995 from a local gentleman in Plano TX. According to that owner they would become the 4th owners of the car. The 3rd owner had installed the rebuilt 289 engine and also a new radiator. The mileage at that time was 38244. Improvements since the current owner purchased the car; 1995-new control arms ball jointsspring saddles transmission seals and seat belts1996- new heater core timing cover gasket1998- brake work and fuel pump1999- replaced fog light assembly on grill new windshield and carburetor2001- new top plastic rear window boot cover dash pad and door handles2007- partial new interior- seats carpet and door panels as well as disc brakes2008- repainted body new tires distributor/rotor new battery and starter2015- new carburetor and fuel pump.The interior shows very well. This car was ordered in Caspian Blue with red vinyl interior. The interior showcases red with white door panel inserts and white luxury seat upholstery front to back. The 289 cubic inch 4bbl. V8 runs strong. Induction upgrades include an Edelbrock Performer 289 intake manifold. The inner fenders core support and firewall steel shows well throughout. The VIN stamping is clean on the inner fenderwell. The alternator was recently replaced. The air conditioning compressor does not have a belt and the system is in need of repair/service although intact. The brightwork is intact throughout and in very good condition including the bumpers trim and emblems. The GT-type trumpet dual exhaust exit through the rear valence pan. Be sure to listen to the rumble in our video. This Mustang sounds great. The 14-inch factory steel wheels are fitted with wire spinner hubcaps all around and 205/75R14 radial tires. The original identification plate is intact. This Mustang was ordered in Caspian blue with red crinkle vinyl interior. It was originally powered by a 200 inline-6 and has a 2.83:1 rear axle ratio. The original DSO is Chicago Illinois and the build date is September 3rd 1964. A Sony 10-disc CD changer and Alpine amplifier have been mounted in the trunk along with the correct trunk mat jack with pouch spare tire wheel with cover and tool bag. The white convertible top was replaced in 2001 as mentioned previously and is in excellent condition. The power mechanism is fast in operation. We have a convertible top boot that snaps into place. The glass is in very good condition as is the surrounding trim. The fuel tank has been previously replaced along with the shocks. The flooring and subframe looks to be in good condition front to back. TheCaspian Blue paint has an excellent shine and curb appeal. The speedometer is functional. The mileage is believed original to the car. The door panels have been replaced and show well. The door undersides are also solid.
