Description of 1933 Ford Other 5 window coupe

1933 Ford 5 Window Coupe Deluxe

Highly desirable pre-war rumble seat 5-window coupe with deluxe trim that features tilt-out windshield rumble seat roll down rear window original banjo steering wheel and red wire wheels with brand new Coker wide whitewall tires. This car has the original Henry steel body and is considered to be a Resto-Rod. If you want a streetrod with noisy exhaust and a lumpy cam keep looking. This car is not for you. Itwas converted to a resto-rod in the late fifties. Older nut and bolt restoration is holding up very well.

Engine/transmission/mechanical – Crate GM 350 (250hp) motor installed last year and has less than 200 miles on it. Has La Salle 3 speed manual transmission with newer clutch. Rearend is a 9” Ford unit with limited slip. Ignition system fully rebuilt. Just had major tune-up and service.

Body & Paint – Burgundy and black paint is over 30 years old but still shows very well. All chrome/stainless is in good condition. I am told it has the original grill. Body is in very good condition with some paint chips that are not that noticeable. There is some light cracking of paint with a nice patina from clear coat minor blistering. Cowl vent works as it should. All glass in excellent condition.

Interior-is in very nice condition with old school custom interior that looks great. Dash and side window molding are the original DI-NOC wood graining and are excellent. Two modern gauges (Oil pressure and Water temp) are hidden in the glove box which is also in excellent condition. Original Heater that works is located in passenger footwell. Car’s factory deluxe trim package features dual horns cowl lamps (now act as turn signal indicators) chrome windshield surround DI-NOC interior and original banjo steering wheel.

Tires/Suspension-Very comprehensive brake system overhaul red wire wheels on brand new Coker whitewall bias ply tires. Steers and brakes straight and handles very well. All suspension has been rebuilt in last 10000 miles.

Things you should know: Gas gauge (hydro-static) not working Speedo cable making a lot of noise off and on small hole on driver portion of bench seat.
