If there's one car that sells well month after month it's early Mustangs. Coupes fastbacks convertibles they all have a very loyal following which is why we're sure this clean 1968 Mustang coupe won't last long. Subtle but with a strong-running 302 under the hood it's affordable V8 fun that'll always be in demand.Code I Lime Gold is the epitome of '60s funky and it never looked better than on the sheetmetal of early Mustangs. It's elegant so you can take it anywhere but also sporting enough to make the coupe look like it's always ready to play. It's this car's original color and giving the amount of attention any old Mustang generates it's a good thing they took their time with the bodywork and got it right. Is it perfect? No. But the look is appealing and you won't mind using it as a real car instead of a trailer queen. The '68 Mustangs are just the right size big enough to be substantial but not so big that they're clumsy on the road and without a lot of extra ornamentation this coupe looks awesome in person. Door gaps are good the hood fits well and all the trim lines up neatly on the deck lid surround. Chrome glass and lenses are all in great condition making this a Mustang with no needs only a great look that needs to get on the road. The unique code 2G two-tone green interior is probably not something you would have chosen for yourself but now that you've seen it it looks pretty darned good doesn't it? This is what I mean about unique combinations and fortunately someone had the vision to pull this off. We suspect most of the interior is original with the seat covers perhaps being replaced but the door panels and dash sure seem to be 1968-issue. Regardless the interior is upscale and stylish perfect for the Mustang's primary mission. The original gauges look great with clear markings and nice lenses there's an upgraded Sony AM/FM/cassette stereo in the dash and the fat steering wheel isn't totally authentic but it looks right. There's decent space in the back seat for a couple of friends and the trunk is big enough to carry all their gear. And while it's not finished for show reproduction mats are inexpensive and would make a big difference for just a few bucks. Thanks to a J-code 4-barrel 302 this car has the moves to match its looks. It moves the coupe effortlessly and delivers impressive punch when you're running hard. A few chrome dress-up items brighten things up under the hood contrasting nicely with the satin black inner fenders and firewall. Someone went the extra mile and added a set of shock tower braces which make a noticeable improvement in the way the car acts and feels on the road. It's also got power disc brakes with a dual master cylinder and power steering two options that make this Mustang easy to live with day after day. The smooth-running 302 is backed by a C4 3-speed automatic and a set of 3.00 gears out back so it cruises comfortably in modern traffic without sounding busy. A dual exhaust system gives it the just the right note and it sits on gorgeous chrome styled steel wheels with 215/70/14 front and 225/70/14 rear Goodyear radials.A beautiful unusual little Mustang coupe with plenty of horsepower will always be in demand so you can buy with confidence.
