Description of 1964 Ford F-100 |
I am selling a 1964 F-100 V8 in running condition. It has a 292 y-block and dual exhaust. The transmission is manual with a granny gear. 1'st gear is a granny gear I typically start in second unless I want to pull a tree stump out of the ground. This truck has a lot of character. I fell in love with this truck with the hopes of making it an occasional driver and to haul some items. I have recently added another child to the family and have found I just do not have time for this truck any longer. As much as it pains me I need to part with this truck and want to find another owner that will enjoy it moving forward. This truck is over 50 years old and yes it does have some rust orwhat some callpatina. There are several cosmetic areas that could be addressed. This was next on my list. Thepositive is the truck is running well and engine is in fine shape for a 50 year old V8. The truck is missing a piece of trim on thedrivers side bed. The tailgate works well and does not have issues. The truck has a built in tool lock box with keys. I have done the following to the truck since I got it:* Installed a rebuiltcarburetor* Added a tachometer* Changed spark plugs and wires* Installed a flamethrower electronic ignition* Replaced the coil* Fixed the temperature sensor and othergauges* Installed new battery within past 3 months* Many other smaller things to get engine running betterI have a set ofseatbelts that I was going to put in but not sure if they will be installed prior to sale. I will include those with sale of truck. This truck could be restored painted and be an awesome truck. I think it is great now. It probably needs brakes refreshed along with other items but it does drive shift and stop. All the gears work and you can take it down the road without issue. It was originally built in Colorado and was white. It is now tan with whiteinterior.I have posted a short video where I start truck and walk around to show it runningand working. You can see it here:http://youtu.be/6voCfzuu3D0I would be happy to assist with shipping by coordinating a time that someone can be present when your shipper arrives. You will be responsible for shipping and finding someone to transfer truck. |
