The Model A proved to be a top national seller for Ford from the very introduction in 1927. As the years went by it would be 1931 to mark the end of the namesake and make way for a new model in 1932. At final tally over 4.3 million Model As hit the streets in the United States alone! Offered in over 28 body styles to choose from not counting commercial vehicles it was easy to find exactly what every buyer was looking for! We are very excited to offer this 1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe! Built as a mild hot rod in the 1950s this car retains its original 40 horsepower inline four cylinder and three-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in Black over Black & White tuck and roll interior. Options and features on the car include dropped front axle upgraded hydraulic brakes trunk-mount spare and luggage rack Ford fender steps sport shift knob quail radiator cap and matching white visor and top. The car replaces the factory wire wheels for painted 16” steel wheels with trim rings and 6.50-16 wide whitewall tires! What makes this car particularly cool is that it was kept in its original 1950s hot rod state since then. As most know these often get chopped up beyond recognition in an attempt to add more power and create a more comfortable ride. To find a period hot rod piece such as this is something that we are thrilled to have in our inventory and a testament to how far the automobile world had gone by the 50s and also by today! As an older restoration the car shows exceptionally well and runs even better! We would invite any interested parties to call with more questions! Thanks for looking!
