For Sale: 1991 Geo metro Convertible, outhern California car, hipped to Kentucky during 2008 gas spike, o rust; low mileage (Purchased with 86K original, iles now has around an additional 30,000 for a total of 116,000); new exhaust system front to rear; completely new convertible top in 2009, ith rebuilt rubber window seals; four new tires; new suspension which includes underbody brace; lowering spring for handling, ront and rear sway bars professional installed for steering improvements; front and rear upper cross body braces for unibody support, this entirely new suspension is suitable for racing) This automobile has never been raced, ut is a great candidate for a turbo engine or other racing modifications. No engine upgrades have been made, but regularly maintained but an ace mechanic, t still has the original 3 cyl. with automatic, o leaks, e replaced the timing belt.) We replaced the original seats with racing seat and now they show some wear. The convertible top was replace in 2009 with new rubber all the way around the windows but now the plastic rear window pane has cracked and the convertible top shows its age. We repainted it a cream paint which is not it original color. There is a small rub/ding/dent on the driver rear side (hardly noticeable). The tires are still good low mileage with plenty of tread. The middle plastic piece of the parade boot cover is missing (often available on EBay) and the speedometer's dial recently fell off (the tachometer works fine but speedodometer needs work). The general care of the car is solid but it shows that my teenaged son was cosmetically rough on it., I personally stayed on top of all maintenance, il changes, mprovements, tc.) The engine turns right over and runs and has plenty of spunk. It will need a new battery (the battery is 3 years old). This automobile is great for cheap transportation or for the mechanically-minded a great candidate to turboize. We averaged only 32 miles to the gallon because of the automatic (you can do better if you try). Be careful not to be mislead by extravagant claims by individuals that coast downhill with engine off to improve their mileage. Price is 3,500.00 OBO This car is being sold AS-IS
