Description of 1991 Geo Metro LSi Convertible 2-Door |
1991 GEO METRO CONVERTIBLE Of all the Geo convertibles I collected, this one is in the nicest shape. It is a 5-speed manual transmission that both upshifts and downshifts into all gears with no problems. It has a 54 hp, 3 cylinder engine that is in great running condition. It has had regular oil changes with fully synthetic oil. I have kept 91 octane gas in it. It has no discernible oil leaks. The 76,931 are original miles. The speedometer has not turned over, and this is evidenced through the shape of the car and the information I received from the previous owner. Everything is good on it and everything works. There are no holes in the upholstery, which is all original. It had a Kenwood radio and new speakers installed in 2012, which work fine. The engine was rebuilt in 2012, because I rebuilt the engines of all the ones I had, whether they needed it or not. It has had less than 10,000 miles put on it since then. It has no major dents. It has the normal scratches and small dings due to wear and tear for a vehicle of its age. There is no rust. The convertible top mechanism lowers and raises with no problems and locks securely into place. The soft canvas top is in very good condition. It has a complete boot to cover the top when it is down. The car is currently registered in California, and had a new catalytic converter installed when it was last smogged. It has a chrome tailpipe tip. The ignition key was broke in the ignition close to the tip when I bought it, and I never bothered to fix it. As shown in the picture, I also have a copy of the unbroken key, which opens the doors and the trunk. You just stick the partial key in the ignition, turn it and go. The tires were bought in 2016 and have a lot of life left in the tread. It had alloyed rims put on in 2013. It is a great, dependable little car that I wouldn't be afraid of jumping into and taking on a trip across the United States. It has a clear unblemished title and I have it in hand. On May-24-17 at 21:08:34 PDT, seller added the following information: The Carfax report is wrong to my knowledge. When I first listed the car, I checked the report and the mileage coincided with my statement of 74,931 original miles. However when I look at it now, the mileage is totally different. On May-25-17 at 07:55:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I have contacted Experian Automotive who does the vehicle check, and opened Case # 02427786. I will be taking pictures of the undercarriage today so everyone can see the condition. Place your bid accordingly. The car is being sold as-is, where-is. Just be aware there is a dependency as far as the mileage with the vehicle check report that I believe is inaccurate. |
