Description of 1950 GMC Other

1950 GMC 150 (3/4 Ton 8 Lug)I've personally owned this truck for over three years. I personally have put just over 2. 00 miles on her. I have truly enjoyed every mile. Nothing can describe the feeling you get when driving this truck. it is truly a step back in time. I have every receipt from the restoration frame up restoration of this vehicle. Truck handles and rides better then it did off the showroom floor. Its time for someone else to enjoy this incredible vehicle. I also have the original wheels and seat. Title in hand. DRIVETRAIN:The engine is an inline 6 GM 228ci. It is the original engine to the truck. The engine was rebuilt by a machine shop in Lincoln. rkansas. It was bored . 30 over and the crank was turned . 20 under. The odometer was rebuilt and reset to zero. the odometer reads 11. 57. When the truck was originally purchased it showed 47. 00 in 1999. so the odometer reads true. In the shape it was in when purchased I am inclined to think it had not been turned over but there is no way to verify that. The transmission is an SM420. which is original to the truck as well but it has been built by BG&S transmission in Lincoln. rkansas with all new synchros. 1st gear is a granny gear and not synchronized. The rear end was originally a 4:57 to 1 ratio. I changed out the carrier housing (pumpkin) from a 1972 CHevy 3/4 ton with the 4:11 to 1 ratio. the carrier. bearings and gears are in excellent shape. The rear axle is the original axle with a new carrier swapped in. All of the bearings and seals were replaced. The rear axle has a couple of leaves removed to lower and smooth out the ride. EXTERIOR:The entire underside of the cab was painted and undercoated to protect it from the elements. The paint work was done by Autographics Specialties. Roger Nunn is the owner. He does a lot of high end hot rods all across the country.
