This truck runs, nd drives exceptionally well. I have replaced the plugs, oints, rakes, oses, uel filter, ir filter, nd cleaned the fuel tanks. It cranks as soon as you turn the key. This model came with what I call split rims. Others call them lock ring rims, nd on and on. I'm looking for the 4th one. 3 of them have been powdercoated, nd have brand new 235/85/16 Kelly All Terrain A99A's on them as well the 4th. I'm tracking one currently. The outside decals on the truck (custom, MC, tc.) are all there, nd in good condition. I purchased this truck from a fantastic older fellow who had it in his barn for the last 15 years. It was his brother-in-laws who lived in California, nd came to visit them every summer. They had a camper, nd apparently an aversion to stopping for gas as he installed 2 extral gas tanks on this truck. Add those to the one GMC installed on it originally, nd that gives you 3 large gas tanks. If a MAD MAX situation breaks out here you will be prepared, o that should help you rest easy. I'm selling it because I'm purchasing a car hauler, nd a truck to pull it. Even though this truck could do it I'm looking for a few modern convenirnces such as AC and power steering. In 1968 this was not an option. This is most certainly a man's truck. If you are familiar with the V8 327 option you'll be very pleased. Personally I was not aware. My mechanic says it's rather rare to find, nd the best engine GM ever made. Obviously that's subjective, nd you can debate that all day long at any garage in America if you're so inclined. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 214-549-4614. Anything I can't answer my mechanic will be happy to. Happy Bidding!
