Description of 1972 GMC Jimmy

This rare 2 wd. 4 speed Jimmy (1 of 1,803 built) is in excellent condition and has a total of only 79,000 original miles and less that 1,000 miles since frameoff restoration. Although the truck keeps all the original look right down to the ram horn exhaust manifolds, he feel is different now being powered by the beefed up Chevy400 s.b c/w 9.5:1 compression skirted pistons, lumpy cam, luminium intake anddual s.s. exhaust c/w 3"chrome tips.

In addition, he original 3:07 rearend has been replaced with a 3:07 posi, high pressure clutch system has been installed as has power steering and power brakes.

The paint is a glistening Dark Olive Green Metallic base coat/clear coat inthe truck's original color. The hardtop roof has also been painted its original white and all three windows have been tinted. The bumpersare powder coated white, gain, heir original color. The Rally wheels have been Endura painted grey and come c/w shiny trim rings and GMC centers. The tires are new B.F.Goodrich Radial T/As nostalgic of the time when the truck was new.

The truck also comes with a Grey Soft Top and rail system designed so as no additional holes were drilled in the truck.

The interior features the reupholstered original (optional) rear bench and front buckets seats c/w original (seat belt slot)) console. A Factory Tach Guage Packagein a new bezel, factory AM/FM radio and upgraded control knobs highlight the dash. The foot pedals also have the chrome trim. And, mazingly, he original dash pad has no cracks!!

This truck is a real eye catcher and I get compliments on it wherever I go.
