You are bidding on a RARE, LL-original, olid 50K mile 1-owner SINCE NEW, 970 GMC 1500 SHORT BED 2WD Pick up truck with Camper top. This is a North Carolina truck with the original 350ci engine and 3-on-the-tree transmission. EVERYTHING WORKS! This solid GMC is just the "bare bones" truck, o options here except for the power steering. Camper top was purchased when new. This truck has been sitting for years and was just pulled out, ashed and a battery installed. She fired right up even with the old gas in her tank. She's TURN KEY, tarts right up and drives surprisingly well!

The Body is ALL GM Steel it was born with including the paint! She was purchased in North Carolina and has been owned by the same gentlemen all these years. It has been sitting for at least 10 years and was recently pulled out of the field and shipped to Ohio to be sold. Nothing has been done to it other than washing it and installing a battery to see if she would start. The body is super straight and is wearing its original paint still! There are no major dings or dents but there are a couple of minor dents on the passenger side cab corner. She is solid but does have some minor rust issues that could be fixed if restoring or left alone to keep it original (tailgate bottom, rivers top inside part of rocker and driver door skin at bottom). The camper top is in excellent condition other than the finish, hich needs detailing. No broken glass or screens, ll the windows and vents operate. Over all this GMC has a nice presentation and would make an excellent cruiser, hop truck or daily driver. It's solid enough to restore or pro tour!

The condition of the chrome and brite work is ok to nice condition except for the front pass. side headlight trim which is rusted out. Bumpers are painted and are in nice condition free from dents but the paint is weathered. The glass is in good shape along with most of the weatherstripping. Door handles and gas cap are original and have some pitting.

The Interior is ALL original and in decent shape except for the seat which has some tears from age and heat. The door panels are decent with some minor surface issues and some issues on the metal areas. Floor mat is in good shape. The dash and pad are in good condition. All the dash gauges, ights and blower work! The steering wheel is badly aged and cracked from the sun. The radio is temperamental but does work. Glass is good and weatherstrippings are fair.

The Drivetrain components are the original units it was born with. The engine is a 350ci V8 and it runs! No smoke or leaks but since its been sitting for years the lifters are noisy. Since running the engine a bit they are getting quieter. Nothing has been done to this truck other than washing and installing a battery. We are limiting the running of the engine so to preserve the condition for the next owner. The 3-speed manual shifts fine and the clutch appears to be good and holds well. She runs great, hifts fine, teers where you want her and has good brakes!

The Undercarriageis in super-clean original condition! The floor pans and frame are original and in GREAT condition! The bed, ab corners, ockers and cab supports are rock solid original pieces! It's just a clean truck. The exhaust system looks original.

Tires have been replaced with 15" radial tires that appear to be ok but are old tires!

Again, his truck has been sitting for years. It does start, un and drive but we highly recommend this truck be trailered to its new destination. As with all vehicles that have been sitting for years, t does need to have a system/safety check before embarking on any long road trips and is recommended to be trailered to your destination.
