Fuzzy Dice AutosHas up for a "NO RESERVE" auction a one-of-a-kind really neat and unusual 1953 GMC custom built Horse Carrier!A woman on the Main Line back in 1953 had this incredible vehicle custom built to carry her prize horses. The vehicle back than was a staple at the famed Devon Horse grounds in Devon Pennsylvania. The body is constructed of "no rust" aluminum. The vehicle is powered by a rebuilt 350 motor that runs strong and sound. The vehicle still has it's original Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. No power steering or power bakes. The body and underside are rust free and very solid. The tires and wheels are good. There's a small crack in the windshield. The cab's interior is in fair condition. The driver's seat could use a recovering. The rear that housed the horses was custom made with pride. Leather bound walls, wooden ceilings and the original horse hair rugs and tacking are still in tact and in wonderful condition. The vehicle starts right up, drives straight and stops on a dime.Although I'd hate to see it used for anything other than a horse carrier, I must admit it would make a dandy house van. This is a NO RESERVE auction meaning that when the auction ends the highest bidder gets to own this magnificent piece of american equestrian history. Best of luck bidding!
