Up for sale is a very solid 1947 GMC 1/2 ton truck. The body style is from what they continued to make right after the war, until they changed the style mid 1947. Sometimes referred to as a 1946 1/2. Only 8,000 of these in all body styles were made, and this one was around the 6,000 built. When I purchased it I was told it was restored in the late 80s or 90s, with many upgrades. I'm selling this to make room for something different.- inline 6, 270 GMC engine
- upgraded with Patrick's kit to a 4 speed saginaw transmission
- 3.55/1 rear axle upgrade

- 12V electrical

- new 4bbl holley carb(2016)

Engine runs great. Truck is being sold as is. Shifting can be tough some times while driving. Sometimes going from 2nd to 3rd gear. Only thing not changed related to that is the Hurst shifter and linkage, just installed a rebuilt 4spd transmission. Most likely an adjustment to the linkage would take care of the problem. Also, truck previously had exhaust stacks run vertical behind the cab through the bed. They've been cut just below the bed, ready to run new pipe to the rear. 1940 1941 1942 1943 1944 1945 1946 1947 1948 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 1954chevy chevrolet gm gmc pickup truck classic truck
