1965 GMC 1 ton

For sale is a 1965 GMC Truck project. I bought it some 18 months ago and now I’m giving up due to lack of time & space. A lot is done already, but it still needs plenty more hours to be back on the road. Here’s a list of what’s done already and what will be included with the sale. Frame was cut for a medium bed 6” rear and 9” in front. This will give a bed in between the long and short bed. In some of the pictures you will still see the original crossmembers, however they were replaced with the ones listed here. The new Trailing Arm crossmember makes it easy to change the rear suspension for trailing arms with springs or air bags. Included are Airmaxx dual solenoids, air tank & compressor.Truck had air bags in front when I got it.

- Energy Suspension Cab Mount Bushing Cushion Kit W/ New Hardware

Cab was lifted off and new sheetmetal was welded to replace rosted sections. New Trans Hump was formed and welded in place. Interior and firewall was painted together with the dashboard. Door panels painted with the same Gold Flake as the dash. Floors were sealed with seam sealer and undercoated from the outside. Inside of the floors were primered and Sound Deadener was installed.

The bed sides and the steps were shortened 9” and now needs to be welded back together. The bed floor was almost completely rosted, so it needs to be fabricated. Anyways the original bed floor would not fit the C-notch. Also the tailgate was in bad shape and you will need a new one.
