Description of 1976 GMC Sprint Deluxe

This is our 1976 GMC Sprint which is based on the El Camino platform. The Sprint was a lower production vehicle than the El Camino and in most cases they have more options than the El Camino. This one has the original 400 cubic inch V8 engine that has been bored 0.30 over with flattop Hypertech pistons, 492 Steel Crank, CNC ported and polished heads, Weiand Intake, 750 CFM Edelbrock Carb, Hooker Headers, roller rockers, and a high volume oil pump. The cam shaft is a Summit Racing Classic Series 292/302 advertised (part number SUM-1107). It pulls strong making roughly 375+ HP but yet is mild mannered enough to driver every day. The pollution control equipment has been eliminated.
The Turbo 350 transmission was rebuilt about 600 miles ago and included a full rebuild kit (new pump body, filter, bands, bushings, and seals) and rebuilt converter (have receipt for this and the driveshaft rebuild and balance). The truck has factory power steering, power disc brakes, tilt wheel, factory AM/FM (works), all original Soft Ray glass, correct GMC Rally Wheels (no bow tie on center cap), and good BFG Radial T/A tires. The radiator has also been pressure tested and flushed. It also has recently installed dual exhaust that sounds awesome!
It is completely rust free and has all of the original body panels. It was repainted a few years ago but painted the original color combination. All of the aluminum side trim, moldings, and chrome are in great condition. The interior is all original and in fantastic condition with only minimal discoloration on the plastic moldings. It also has the factory driver's side remote mirror. The bed is in excellent condition with no dents, scratches, or gouges from severe use. All of these trucks were delivered with air shocks on the rear and these are functional.
The truck came with factory A/C however when the engine was rebuilt, it required the use of taller valve covers to clear the roller rockers. This meant the factory A/C compressor would not clear. So the compressor and condenser were removed however the firewall box and all dash controls were not removed.
