1978 GMC "Heavy Half" short bed truck. This is a real heavy half model and very hard to find. The truck came with a factory BB with air and still retaining that, but now has an 8.1L w/4L80E transmission and AC. Adult owned and built and as solid as you'll find. Power door locks/power windows, PB, PS. Engine: 2004 8.1L (30,000 miles) Custom wire harness and ECM tune from Street Performance Ported factory aluminum intake Comp Cams XR270HR Comp Cams valve springs Trick Flow pushrods Transmission: 4L80E by PACT (transmission center.net) Level 2 build with HD Converter PACT tail housing with mechanical speedo provision. New driveline Exhaust: Custom Scott Cochran dual exhaust sounds awesome. Rearend: Stock 12 bolt with complete rebuild by Padden Driveline Auburn posi Auburn 3:42 gears Yukon axles Brakes: Stock front discs rear GM disc brakes w/E brake Suspension: McGaughys 2.5 front drop spindles McGaughtys 2.0 drop springs Drop shocks Rearend flipped w/drop shackles Air rear shocks (can still tow something if needed) All steering components new Wheels: 18x9.5 Nitto 295/45/18 18x8 Nitto 245/45/18 I have a freshly powder coated set of rally wheels 15x8 15x10 with brand new TA's that could go with for and additional $1000 The truck runs great and the conversion done correctly, could easily become a daily driver. Painted over ten years ago but still very respectable. Only rust is in lower door and is minimal considering the age. Garage kept, original trim and interior is clean. Title is clear and in my name.
