Description of 1982 GMC Sierra 3500 Service Bed

Selling a large number of items for a local tire/farm service repair shop. All items are selling without reserve and full disclosure as towhat we know, from the owners, about each item. All items will be listed on a one-time-only listing - looking for new homes for these items.*****

For sale: Here isa unique one! This is a 1982 GMC 3500 Dually Service Truck. Truck was purchased new by the owners (three brothers) and used in their business for on-farm service and road service repairs. Truck is with its original 350 V8 motor, manual trans (low gear, plus three forward speeds and reverse), has an on-board large capacity air compressor (see under-hood), reserve airtank that you see up above, and has a large holding tank with pump for calcium (for farm tires). Truck also has a Tommy gate lift on the back that is working (would be ideal for farm work like picking up seed, tires, pallets etc... or for some other use). Truck's bed is fiberglass, has four storage bins, two on each side, and the passenger side upper bin has shelves. The lower bins are solid, as are the upper, with no rust through or holes. Upper compartment on driver's side holds 200 gallon tank for calcium, the pump for the tank, the air compression fittings and valves etc... so some things can be stored in this compartment, but minor. Bed is solid, looks to be fiberglass diamond plate over steel and steel mesh. Tires look good and serviceable while interior is complete, and truck has no air conditioning, does have power brakes, and has what looks like an 8 track radio, but not sure of brand or workability. Clear title in owner's name and selling "as is" and with no warranty, guarantee, or possibility of return.

Condition: Truck runs and drives, lift gate works, and it is still in service at this business. Truck has seen less work in the last number of years as the owner's discontinued farm tire work and on-farm service and instead focused on shop tires and service repairs. There is a hole near thedriver's side floor, under the mat (see pics), but plenty solid to use as is or could be repaired. Truck has been repainted here and there through the years, hood latch no longer works and hood now has pins with keys outside and works fine. There is some rust on the cab of the truck as shown;bed looks pretty good given fiberglass, just some thinness to the bed, fading generally, and wear from years of use and storage. Truck was always kept in the shop when not used and overnight. Running and driving is good, I did notice that it may need a belt as it was squealing a bit from dryness, otherwise fine. This is just a one owner service truck that still hasyears of life in it foradditional use or parts like the gate and compression system could be transferred as parts. Business has been sold, owners have removed their name etc.... off the doors of this truck and touched up thepaint (very basicjob here).

Item is located in Central Illinois, in Kankakee, IL (zip 60901 and about 1 hour south of Chicago, Illinois and about 20 miles from the Illinois/Indiana state line). All transportation and arrangements for pickup/shipping are paid and made by the buyer.
