Description of 1988 GMC Sonoma S15 |
1988 GMC S15Extended Cabwith a topper that has been sitting for 15 years. This is a great little truck. 4 cylinder, 5-speed.Has seat covers (removed now) and has floor mats.Pictures show both ways. Tires hold air. Still has the CB and Owners' Manuals! Only surface rust on top and some faded paint. Solid body and under carriage. Interior, except headliner, is pretty good. Would make a great V8 drop-in! Needs a battery, tail pipe is bent, transmission rear seal leaks, looks like the right rear axle seal is leaking, I see the AC compressor is disconnected so I would think there is a problem with it, some of the door seals are loose, the glass is not installed in the topper and is laying in the bed and the head liner is bad. The engine would not turn over when I jumped it, so I pulled the plugs and put in some kerosene, put it in gear and rocked it back and forth a few times and it spun free. I have not got it to run on its own. It starts right up if you put some fuel in the carb, but shuts off when it runs out. Don't know if the issue is fuel pump or fuel lines.
