Description of 1956 GMC Other |
Here is a Once In A Lifetime opportunity to own your very own RARE 1956 GMC Scenicruiser Bus that has been converted into a RV Motorhome (titled as Motor Home. so no CDL is needed). This thing is just so cool and such a rare piece of Nostalgia/Americana/Automotive/Bus History. I am not really wanting to see this bus go. but I have other automotive priorities. There were only 1001 of these buses made and only about 200 that are on the road today. This is an extremely rare bus that has already been converted into a RV. but still has so much potential and would be a wonderful investment along with being a fun thing to take to the drag races. car shows. parades. etc! Here's a Rundown on Specs: 8V-71 Detroit diesel with Jake brakes & Allison HT750. 4 speed automatic transmission 40 foot long. new air bag -generator. brakes have been rebuilt. the bedroom floor (in the back of the bus) has been replaced with new plywood but needs to be finished with either tile or carpet. 2 low profile roof air conditioners that work. Kitchen with & microwave. propane stove top. oven. coffee maker. double sink. dishwasher. large double door fridge/freezer. pantry beside the fridge for food storage. cupboards above counter area. more cupboards and drawers below as well. booth style table and seating. Radio and CD Player. Lots of interior storage. wood cabinets. fresh water tank. grey & black water tanks. hot water tank. shower stall on one side with a small open area for closet space. toilet and sink stall on the other side. all new tires (11 total with spare). air brake lines have been replaced. engine has been rebuilt. wiring has been replaced up to the wiring box in the rear. ignition switch needs replaced (very simple fix) bus drives nice but does not go into reverse. the right side windshield needs installed (I have it but need to get the rubber molding between both windshields). There are two bench seats up front that can accommodate for extra passengers. and they can fold out as a sleeping area for 2 to or more to sleep). storage cabinets above the bench seats. 2 captain chairs up front (passenger captain chair rotates and tilts). behind the captain chairs there is draping for privacy. Actual mileage is unknown. I can send more pictures and video if interested. Any questions. you may call me at 330-819-5448. |
