Description of 1991 GMC Sierra 1500 SLX

This truck has an outstanding body that has never been wrecked and has no rust or damage. It's the perfect candidate for a custom truck. 1st, 2nd, and reverse work perfectly. I bought this with the intention of turning it into a really cool custom pickup but I've now turned my attention to a couple of projects in the house that take priority so it's being sold.

Condition: The 700r4 transmission shifts fine from 1st to 2nd then will go into 3rd and slip. I don't know if the tranny needs to be replaced, rebuilt, or simply serviced but I'm thinking the problem goes deeper than simply servicing it. The 5.7L engine has been converted to a carburetor instead of throttle body and runs great!! Starts right up with lots of power. It could use a matched set of tires. I planned to have the somewhat rusted 20" wheels that I had taken off of my "08 Yukon Denali refinished, new tires put on, and installed on the pickup. The wheels go with the truck, if you want them, however you'll need to get the converters that go from 5 on 5" to 6 on 5.5"..All the glass is fine, has a rear slider, and the floor is solid as are the rockers and all else. The bench seat is torn on the drivers side but the overall seat foam/base is in excellent shape. Mileage is original.

This is truly a nice truck and with very little investment can be a real eye catcher. With a body and frame this nice, it won't take much to make this truck a real eye catcher. I've started it off with a relatively low price for a truck in this condition and I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. If I decide to have a rebuilt transmission put in I may keep the truck or relist it for considerably more as its condition warrants it. I doubt that you'll find another original '91 with the body this nice.
