Description of 1953 GMC Suburban |
You are looking at a 1953 GMC Suburban. I bought this suburban in a package with another car and have decided just to resell it as I have too many projects at this time. It is very complete. It has an excellent straight body. 2 rust areas. with patch panels included. The gentleman that had this passed away and it was purchased from his estate. He had spent a lot of money on it and it looked to me as though he was going to do a bang up job on it. The engine is a 235 6 cylinder. It has a new power master and all new brakes. It has new IDIDIT tilt wheel column. new gauges. and new wiring harness and 4 new tires. The 2 door windows go up & down easily. It runs great. shifts good and brakes good. The wiring harness is not installed so it's hot wired at this time. It's receiving fresh fuel. These Suburban's are pretty straight forward to restore and a whole lot of fun the way they sit. This is a 1/2 ton shorty. I noticed the swing down door handles and no wing vents - not correct for a 1953. I have a matched title to the VIN on the vehicle. Just check on the internet as to what restored ones bring - anywhere from $40K to $75K depending on the extent of the restoration. This one has nothing but potential! A very rare find and an easy restoration. Please call me with questions: Roger. 612-849-6350. I don't check email that often. please call. Thanks. Roger |
