Description of 1987 GMC Sierra 1500 |
You are bidding on a very solid 1987 GMC 1500 Sierra Pickup. It is a 305 V-8 automatic that runs and drives very well and would properly make a cross country trip only needing new tires and a quick look over. You will notice something a little different on this unit, it is not a short box, nor is it a long box anymore. It is what I call a medium box. We professionally shortened it 10.5 inches in the front part of the box and it looks super sharp like this. Although it is not a show truck it most definitely gets the looks and attention with a few thumbs ups! The box was super solid with no rust ever. The bottom side is very clean as well. The frame is very nice with no scaly rust issues. This truck was a Game & Parks rig from dry western Nebraska and it only had a few small dings and very small amount of rust in the lower cab corners and a little in the rockers, all professionally repaired. A basic single-stage metallic green close to the original color was applied as well as a light tan insert color. We added some new body side moldings tape striping and wheel opening moldings to make it look as good as new. All original body panels that have never been wrecked. The doors, hood, and tailgate all operate as the should. We even blasted the inside of box and epoxied and painted it. We added a Blazer rear bumper for a good custom look. The interior got freshened up a bit with a new headliner, carpet, seat cover and dash cap from LMC.new window felts. A custom drive shaft and a new gas tank. The frame was correctly Z cut welded properly and fish plates added. brake lines shortened and doubled flared, we did remove the over load leaf and cut and rewedded the rear shackles to lower the truck like 3 inches. The new owner mostly likely will be looking to perform other-mods to the suspension so we did not go crazy on it. Some things that it may still need are a new fuel sending unit, the gauge is off a bit.park lamps, not coming on, needs the speakers hooked up.a few other minor details and you will have a very nice fun good looking driver to enjoy and use as a regular truck with a bit of unique styling. |
