Description of 1991 GMC Sonoma |
Very Rare 1991 GMC Syclone. Number 569 of 2995 made. To be very clear, this truck does not currently run. It had an engine failure at the drag strip on August 24th, 2019. You can see the video of that here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0khOSPzcGO0 Truck is #569 shipped to me from Michigan so it is an east coast truck. The bed has rust over the wheel wells, the doors and tailgate have some bubbling. It definitely needs body and paint to be perfect, but it is a 137k mile truck and looks as such scratch and scuff wise. I bought this truck with almost 136k on it so it's seen less than 2000 miles in 2 years. This truck appraised for $14500 when I bought it and was in very rough shape mechanically. Damn near every mechanical part has been replaced or upgraded. Sadly, while chasing the stock bottom end record the other day the motor let go and will need a rebuild or replace, the motor is still whole there are no holes, just no compression. It has gone 10.84 @ 124mph the way it sits (aside from the engine failure of course) In race trim it weighs 3270lbs with a full tank without driver, maybe a little less. It is race trim which means no heater, no wipers, no radio, no speakers, no spare, no jack, etc. Wheels are stock with Mickey Thompson ET Street SS drag radials. There are a ton of very nice parts on the truck. Electronics Engine Drivetrain Suspension Brakes Fuel System Turbo Kit Interior ETC |
