Up for auction is my 1972 GMC Jimmy. I have owned for over 10 yrs. I bought it while living in Montana. Which explains the rust. It was originally a turbo 350 automatic transmission. When I got it, there was no engine and the SM465 transmission and NP205 transfer case were laying in the bed. I started on it about 8 yrs. ago and it has been garaged ever since. It has had a full mechanical rebuild with approximately 2500 miles on it since it became road worthy. Every system has been gone through and any worn or broken parts have been replaced with new ones. *Engine is basically a stock rebuild, not original to the truck, mid 70’s 4bolt main 350CI bored .030, roller tip rockers, & oil galleys and water passages de-burred. Engine was tested and broke in on test stand for approx. 20hrs and has had the oil change at least 4 times since initial start-up. *Transmission is a SM465 rebuilt with all new bearings, synchro’s, seals & gaskets, powder coated case. *Clutch, throw out bearing, and wearable linkage parts replaced.*Transfer case is a NP205 rebuilt with new bearings, seals, gaskets, front yoke & painted case.*10 Spline coupling between transmission and transfer case new.*Rear differential rebuilt with new axles, bearings, seals/gaskets, ring & pinion gear set & spider gears.*Front differential has had new seals, gaskets, u-joint & Warn lockout hubs installed*Front and Rear drive shafts have new slip yoke seals, u-joints and paint.*Front & Rear leaf spring bushings replaced w/Energy Suspension Polyurethane and Grade 8 hardware.*Body mount bushings are new Energy Suspension with a 1†body lift and new hardware.*Electrical system has the original harness that has been fully restored. All burnt, broken, or dry rotted wires have been replaced. Any questionable connectors were replaced. All bulbs are new except the headlights. Dash has LED’s. Battery and cables are new. Alternator and starter are used from my shelf. *The ignition system has a new Accel HEI distributor and custom length wires. *Brake system has been rebuilt with new power booster, master cylinder, front calipers, rotors, drums, slave cylinders, shoes/pads, spring kits, front and rear flex lines. All hard lines are original with exception to the one on the rear axle. Rear E brake cables are new and they work.*Fuel system has a new tank, sending unit, pump and any rubber line were replaced. Hard lines are original. Edelbrock carb is from my shelf. *Cooling & heating systems rebuilt with a new all metal radiator, heater core, fan clutch, blower motor, thermostat, water pump and all hoses. Heater controls are rebuilt and the heater box has fresh paint and seals installed. New air ducts and dash vents. Toe kick vents have new gaskets.*Steering system is rebuilt with new steering box, rag joint, upper and lower ball joint, tie rods, pump and hoses. The column was changed to a standard version, rebuilt with new parts and painted. Turn signal cam and horn parts replaced. Horn works. *Interior was originally black. I have some descent door panels and arm rests to go with the sale. The dash pad, glove box liner, instrument panel lens, bezel and circuit board are new. The front seats are original but, they are toast. The frames are rough and have been repaired multiple times. The rear seat is not mounted and comes from a late model SUV. Included are a pair of new black Smittybilt seats.*New dual exhaust.*New BF Goodrich T/A 31x10.5x15 including spare all on rally’s with center caps and beauty rings. I also have a set of original hub caps as seen in the pictures mounted on the rally’s. *New windshield, gasket and chrome trim. New antenna.*Mirrors are NOS Yankee’s I found from back in the 70’s.*New brake, turn, back-up, and side marker lenses.*The body is a work in progress. It has Montana rust. The floors and rockers need finishing. The rocker boxes are above average condition. The doors need skinned or replaced. Fenders and hood have dents. Front clip has been soda blasted and rattle canned with primer only. Rear fender wells need replaced. The front are descent, blasted and painted. The top is in good condition and is structurally sound. It will need some work. The rear hatch is majority of the issue. The rear glass has a crack and the driver’s side got blown out by a rock from the weed eater where it had been recently stored. This truck will need new weather-stripping and other misc. rubber parts. I’m not sure if, I left anything out. Feel free to ask me anything so you can make an informed bid. I would take this beast anywhere! High Lift jack is included.
