Description of 1984 GMC Caballero Silver Aluminum Trim |
I added a few things PLEASE read or re-read the description: This is one of only 2,196 GMC Caballero’s made in 1984 which means this car came off the assembly line already rare and the last 34yrs have only increased the uniqueness of it. It runs really well I drive it almost every day without any problems. The exhaust system needs to be replaced but it's a simple fix most people would remove it and put in headers anyway. It has a 400 small block engine, four new tires, and the body is straight with only 2 dings that I’m scheduled to have fixed Friday. The paint is faded with a few spots of rust but it's on the surface only THERE ARE NO RUSTED THRU SPOTS ON THE BODY OR BED OF THE TRUCK. The superficial rust and fading paint can both be resolved by sanding priming and painting the vehicle. I have all of the trim including the pieces that go around the windshield and along the bed of the truck I removed them to sand the body but never had a chance to start. I forgot to list the floor pans as needing to be replaced in the previous auction. The interior needs some cosmetic repairs specifically the dash is cracked but overall with a little time and money this car has the potential to be a great investment. I’m relisting it with a 7 day auction cycle and a buy now option. I’ve been told by an eBay agent that I can’t give out the reserve but the written guidelines state that it’s at my discretion. If that’s true I am willing to give out the reserve amount. It’s well under blue book value and not much higher than the highest bid from the last auction. I'm selling the vehicle as-is there is a $250 deposit to be paid within 48hrs of winning and the vehicle must be picked up within 7 days from the end of the auction unless we've made other arrangements. I will work with you if you're needing to arrange pick up or shipping as long as there's good communication. I'm sorry for the difficulty I've had with this and all the multiple listings as a result. Please feel free to message with any questions all correspondence needs to go thru Ebay please thanks *Source: “The RareCaballero…” by Dennis Yohnka at the Daily-Journal.com 09/22/15 |
