Description of 1971 GMC C10 |
This 1971 GMC C10 is an intoxicating mix of vintage and new. It's a one-family owned pickup, but there have been some major investments along the way. That's how you get bright and clean machine that even has cold-blowing A/C. Bold okra yellow, a clean white roof, and even brighter chrome...that's truly a lasting first impression. But also take some time to appreciate the details of this one. For example, the reason why a modern clearcoat application looks so good on this pickup is because it has some timeless curves. The squared-off hood melts into a rounded fender line that runs the full profile of this pickup. And you see this so well because there has been a solid investment in this truck to erase any workman roots. Heightening its attractiveness is plenty of mirror-like brightwork on the grille, bumpers, and even the upgraded alloys with an aggressive 18/20 inch front/rear stance. The reason why this truck looks so well preserved and updates is because it's a one-family owned machine. When the latest generation got ahold of the truck about a dozen years ago, they gave it a full custom treatment that did everything from expertly deleted the trim to convert it to a more desirable short bed model. It was reported that there was over $75k invested in this pickup, and the quality really shows. Inside is more of that vintage style mixed with modern appeal. We love the fresh investment in the attractive saddle tan seat that's now finished in a supple leather. It has the classic/premium embossed western-style pattern, and the door panels are done to match. Plush carpeting, a smooth dash pad, and plenty of the exterior yellow on the metal components complete the classic truck look. What you'll also love are all the right well-integrated upgrades. This includes an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. And the custom chrome steering wheel gives you a nice view of the full gauge package, including tach. The engine bay has proper GM 350 cubic-inch V8 power. You can tell there were more big investments under the hood simply because no truck celebrating nearly half a century should look this tidy and fresh all on its own. Everything appears stock from the bold color of the block, to the four-barrel carburetor. So it should be no surprise that this V8 fires up eagerly. But what may first surprise you is how this has a touch of added attitude that tells you there are some more aggressive internals. The whole undercarriage is clean, right down to the newer shocks, and so this one rides with confidence going down the road. Plus, the power steering, power brakes w/front discs, and grippy/modern Toyo tires keep it a great cruiser. This GMC has been given all the right investments to be the truck you've always wanted. And since it's turn-key ready today, you need to call now! |
